What Time Can do.

Time can make you forgive yourself for the mistakes you made. It can make you break the promise, to yourself, of making good the mistakes. It can make you sleep as if nothing happened. It overthrows conscience.

It can make the joyful moments at the parks with mom, dad and brother, just a cute memory for minds. It can make the adorable parents suspicious of their own children. It can make the same kids who played in the dad’s arms pure liars and crooks. It can make the same kids clever enough to crack jokes on their friend’s dads. It can turn the single room and kitchen home- with one family, into a double bedroom hall and kitchen apartment with busy individuals.

It can turn the best friends into ‘just another casual friend.’ It can make people meet new ones and forget old ones. It can change the priorities from blind faith and truthfulness, to need, later to choices and chances.

It can make you meet special people. Who can make magic happen. Who can make the factors of time and space irrelevant, insignificant.

It can make success seem too small.

Time can kill the creativity of the empty mind. It can make the colorful ambitions too silly now.

It makes you believe that everything is a just part of life. It proves that everything is part of the big plan. And later that there was no plan. All the small things were life.

The real studies

These days, I have started working on my C.A final syllabus. And I start wondering what I have learned through this journey from childhood to high school to college to finally just being a step away from being a professional. I mean, the childhood and high school stages can solely be attributed to growing up as a person, but you’d expect the later stages to be more specifically knowledge oriented. Like helping you stand out of general public and say I can do this in a way you can’t imagine.

I don’t know about some specific courses like MBBS – they specialize in killing people, legally, or the prestigious MBA’s, but I do know about C.A. The exams are tough, the syllabus is huge and you’ll have to spend sleepless nights to remember some laws. Maybe it’s just me, but the bottom line after spending 2 full years living the core subjects is that I’ll have to work really hard from now on to earn myself a job. I either don’t remember any thing I learnt to come to this stage be it Taxes or Accounts or Laws, except the basics or it is too insignificant for the real world. Or maybe it’s because of my disastrously poor memory. I have to start from the very basics which I have understood at the foundation stages. Ask me a simple Tax provision. I don’t remember, I might take a guess. Ask the heading of Accounting standard 22, well, don’t even try me. Believe me when I say that a 12th pass out with above average marks can stand beside me with the same knowledge I have with just 3 to 4 months of full time hard work. It is no magic. I know for certain that the local engineers, who will go on to work on processes which are no way related to their lab experiments, will agree on that view.

The conclusion has to be that all we are learning here is just how to learn and adopt. And of course some posh English to help us get the BPO job, thanks to FB’s, Orkut’s and SMS offers.

Explanations

What I’ll do here is try to give a wording to the reasons I do things In the way I do them.

· Firstly, I read at night if I really have to. Coz at night the world is at its best without any nuisance. I just take advantage of the best part of the day.

· I don’t care about many things, even people. We live a small life. And, we are nothing but a biological living race like any other bacteria. Of course we have things called thoughts, emotions and other effects of having the best thinking mechanism. The least we can do after all that we got from nature is to use it to our advantage and not mess it up by complicating things. I mean you are just kidding yourself if you think there is a point at all in many emotions at all. So take the best thoughts and people. Live with them. And live well. Because you are not a constant. It only matters how happy you ARE. That too only to yourself and your people. Otherwise, whoever you are, you are just a meaningless random being in real sense. Whether you live or die, It doesn’t make a difference to whatever that makes any sense. Even if it does, it just means shit to you because you are dying after another 50 years at any cost, right!

· I don’t read or send forwards. We all know they are bullshit in almost all cases.

· I don’t support team India or Team Mumbai. I watch only Sachin. He is perfection.

· I have few close friends. No just friends. Just friends are like forward messages. I delete them after the first line. If I know a friend isn’t going to be with me, I don’t care if he can do wonders for me.

· I don’t watch many movies. I go with the talk. No risks.

· I write this blog coz its fun. I enjoy the process of writing articles. I like it when people read it too, but the best part is writing and editing the stuff.

· I go by the flow. If I am playing chess, I play it for days together. Till I feel sick of it. Same with any other hobby. I do things I like till I like doing them. Basically, I let things happen. I never force. Enjoy the moments rather than trying to face and change them. But not as a rule.

· And yeah, no rules or formalities. I didn’t write this blog for months now because I didn’t feel like it. I am writing it now because it’s been months now. I try to be flexible in my limits because it keeps me free. I like being without burdens and barriers.

· I stick to basics mostly whether in terms of subject or any other matter. That is why I forget many things but remember just the essence. I think whatever fun or logic there is to a topic, it is all in the basics. If you get your basics right, you are probably doing it right and enjoying it too.

· I am not as straight forward and ‘on the face’ as I would like to be yet. I am trying. Because I am realizing that it is the only simple way of living. Sometimes I come off as being harsh but its ok with me as long as I get to convey what I want to.

Continuation of the fuckedupness.

This isn’t the start. For the start, read this http://raj1688.blogspot.com/2009/04/lesson-on-screwing-up-your-life.html.

Then here is part two. He was meant to write the supplementary exams in the September of 2009. He did. Except one. Which is a hell excellent by his standards. He assured us that he would pass all that he wrote. All right.

And the one exam which he left was to be written a few days back. He did. After this, he had to write an entrance exam for engineering and join a college. It was going to be good. But for him, good isn’t good enough. He had a whole 5 or 6 months to prepare for the one subject which he knew was going to be tough. He knew that he needed to practice. Seems that he knew more about the question paper than the paper setter himself. Except how to answer it. He just gave me the news that he flunked the exam without any fuss. No excuses. He just fucked up. For me, he deserved to for being direction-less.

So..his next attempt is due September. He wasted another year. Wait, no. He is just at the beginning of a fresh wasted year. He really isn’t dumb. He is mature and logical. After all these years together, I just don’t know what really is the only reason for this.

Consequences? He is not going to get any new chances from his family. He used up all his lives. He doesn’t know what happens next. If anything happens at all, that is. Maybe he’ll join a job right away and attempt the exam next time around hoping that he doesn’t sleep half way through. If anyone asks if he is going for engineering after that, no better joke.

Ordinary Things to Say.(About Secularism)

I have pretty ordinary things to say. No Discoveries. Nothing Remarkable. Just limited use of common sense*

No. Terrorism doesn’t start and end with Pakistan. It’s a lot more complex than that. There is a reasonable theory that one of the motives behind the Mumbai Attacks was to divert the Pakistani Army from the Afghan borders and to create a crisis between both the nations. The terrorists hit two targets with one shot. They degraded the Indian Government, created fear among the civilians and on the larger grounds they spoiled all the diplomatic advances made by both the governments in the line of peaceful relations between the nations. AL Qaida receives funds from a lot of sources including its own illegal businesses all over the Middle East. So don’t blame Indian government for not slashing down Pakistan. Government is a lot wiser than you. I am not a congress supporter either.

Anyhow, do you know who suffers the most from a terror attack apart from the aggrieved? The ordinary Muslims. They are treated with suspicions and hatred.  India is really secular in a good sense, it never showed hatred and dominance against its Muslims or other minorities. But please don’t change this. Saying that Pakistan doesn’t treat Hindus well is not a good excuse to treat Muslims here without sense.

What the hell is Democracy when you don’t have the right to choose your religion. Make India a Dictatorship or forceful regime before trying to stop people from converting from Hinduism or any other religion (By the way, if a person is accepting cash in exchange for his religion, even that is his OWN decision). Or before telling SRK to stop making his personal comments about his business. Or before banning valentines. Or before stabbing people who want to go to pubs. Otherwise we have no right to blame the terrorists. We are one of them! And if all this is just for one thing called the vote bank, we know how that worked!

Anyhow why in the hell would you want India to be only of Hindus? Why do you want to make other people your subordinates? Is it divine according to some Veda or Bhagavad-Gita? Is that some kind of anti-poverty policy or something? I never said Muslim extremists are right. But that doesn’t make right your stupid ideologies, does it? BJP has its ideology as Hindutva even today with added flavor of “tolerant, inclusive” outlook. My comment is “Tolerate who? Are we talking about animals? And why do we ‘include’ them when they are already one of us? Why should the Musalmans in India remain silent if they want to live here. You have your rights to speak out, why shouldn’t they have their rights?”

Why do you care when someone follows some western culture? English is western. Fucking motor bikes, cars.. all that technology is western! Jeans is western! It Is quite a lifestyle now. Show me one guy in India who is not used to them? Even the priests think it’s cool. We accept jeans and cars as a part of how we live. We don’t go on cattle or horse to a vegetable market! I don’t see many ‘warriors’ wearing Dhotis to work. Then why can’t we take other practices in the same spirit of individuality and accept things as they come. So every goddamn thing you say about invasion of alien cultures doesn’t apply when it comes to you, does it?  No one is taking away your chances of survival by selling you a greeting card. In fact, no one is forcing you to buy it. Just don’t get pissed off at others buying it.

Please live your life however you want to and let others live it the same way. Not however you want to but however they want to.

When you try to argue with a “Just Hindus” enthusiast, all you get to hear is what there is in the History books written by some 60 year old following and filtering everything which went against the Hindu “Innocents”. With proofs of how cruel the other communities were to the Hindu people and statistics of how many people were killed by Muslims in Godhra or Ayodhya. I’ll never say something like that isn’t true. Thousands of Hindus were trapped and killed in rail bogeys just for the heck of it. What I say is its only half truth. The other half, if these guys dared to face, would show that there is equal cruelty on the part of the Anti-Muslims who either acted or reacted in equal evilness killing as many people in the name of God (Hindu God). How in the world would they justify their identity as an Hindu when they advocate Ahimsa which I read no where as the Hindu-Dharma.

I don’t give a thing about gods or religions. Technically I, too, am not a Hindu. Kill me.

*        I am not a Muslim or Congress supporter. Anyhow, majority of Muslims are good people and congress is secular at least in records.

Characters we come across

The One with smile and nothing else.

Laugh at something, he laughs back. Laugh at something, he doesn’t understand the joke, but still laughs back. Try and piss him off, he will still manage a smile!

The One with the counters.

He has a punch line or at least a counter emotion for whatever goes past him.. Good to have around..time pass

The Mature one.

Acts as if he knows everything and whatever topic you bring out with him, he seems to be laughing within himself at your silliness. You have to act serious and mature with such people, or you’ll not feel good.

The Innocent.

Its hard to get along with these guys. You know so little and this dude doesn’t even know that!

The Bug.

He knows it already. But just wants to hear from your mouth. The bug..

The Dominating One.

Like Prakash Raj in Bommarillu except that he’s not your dad.

The Push over.

The opposite character of above. He doesn’t have an opinion. He wants you to decide. Whatever you decide, it is good enough for him. You want to go to a Chinese restaurant, he is ok. You want to go to a bakery, he is ok. You want to go to hell, ok..

The Moody Guy.

If you can make him smile, you can win over the world!

The Happy Go Luckys.

No one knows what they are so happy about in this sick world :P

Practicals.

He is similar to the Mature guys. But have a mix of Straight attitude. Add some logic to that.

I can go into depths of this thing. But no, I can’t do this. This topic is too dangerous..
